Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the SecurePass Toolkit Android application (the "App"), developed and maintained by the developer reachable at edtraveltour622@gmail.com.
This policy describes how the App handles — or more accurately, does not handle — your information. By installing or using the App, you confirm you have read and understood this policy.
Information We Collect
Specifically, the App does not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Your passwords or any content stored in the vault
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
- Usage analytics, session data, or behavioural tracking
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
- Advertising identifiers or fingerprints of any kind
How Your Data Is Stored
All data you enter into the App — passwords, labels, and settings — is stored exclusively on your local device using the following security measures:
- Room database stored in your app's private storage directory — inaccessible to other apps.
- Clipboard auto-clear — copied passwords are wiped from your clipboard after 30 seconds.
Internet & Network Access
The App does not request internet permission in its Android Manifest. This means:
- The App is physically incapable of sending any data over a network.
- No outbound connections are made — ever.
- The App functions fully without a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
- There are no remote servers, APIs, or cloud services involved.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party services, including:
- No advertising SDKs (AdMob, Meta Audience Network, etc.)
- No analytics platforms (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
- No crash reporting tools (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- No social login or authentication providers
- No payment processors
The only external libraries used are open-source Android Jetpack components (Room, Navigation, ViewModel) — all operated entirely on-device.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the App is inherently compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.
Data Backup
The App has disabled Android's automatic cloud backup (android:allowBackup="false"). This means your vault is never backed up to Google Drive or any other cloud service — even if you have Android Backup enabled on your device.
This is an intentional security decision to ensure your encrypted passwords remain exclusively on your physical device.
Your Rights
Because we collect no data, the traditional data-subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are automatically satisfied:
- Right of access — All your data is already on your device and visible to you inside the App.
- Right to erasure — Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all your data.
- Right to portability — Use the built-in Export feature to export your vault at any time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you disagree with the changes, you may uninstall the App at any time.
